Steph showed me something really cool last night (keep yer mind outta the gutter).. Hopefully it won't be long until the 'new stuff' gets here! =) Oh.. on Thanksgiving.. I got a DVD Player!! Update
Ok, I have to update.. cause lauren is crying.. and we can't have that.. Im just going to list a few things that have happened lately: 1) Im working at Meijers, in Electronics (sometimes) .. The store hasn't opened yet, so we're working to get everything together. I don't think im going to like it. 2) My grandfather died, we got his car (93 Lumina) and his furniture.. my dad is gone now to northern KY to get the furniture. Oh, and I got his stereo which is hooked into one of my computers. 3) I bought a switch 4) My fucken mouse button broke AGAIN on the laptop. Fuck Dell! 5) All phone jacks inside of my house are dead. We have a wire running to the box outside because Verizon said that if it worked out there, it was an internal wiring problem and would cost $85/hour to fix. Loki from IRC came out and checked it out.. he found the problem, and it was with Verizon's equipment.. so.. we have to call them back. Havent had time though. Some more stuff has happened.. but thats just a few of them.. =) I had some really strange dreams this morning.. I was dreaming that I was dreaming that I was dreaming. I kept waking myself up.. and couldn't figure out if I was still dreaming or not. It was strange. Do you have those dreams very often when you know you're dreaming.. and you can wake yourself up. I was doing that.. then falling back asleep.. it was fun.. =) Current Mood: happy |

DeLL Service
Alright.. the repair guy is gone, and I still have no mouse button. The guy called this morning.. told me that he had received the part, and asked what would be a good time to be here.. Anyways.. got that setup, he came. He took everything apart. EVERYTHING. He unscrewed and took out the keyboard. Then took the screen off. He finally got to the wrist rest, and took it off. The wrist rest has a touchpad in it. He then opened the box that had the replacement part. When I saw him bring the box in, I thought it was kind of strange to have such a big box for a mouse button. However, the whole wrist rest piece has to be replaced. So, he put the new wrist rest on, started hooking it up.. and said.. "uh oh". He had hooked up the touchpad and was about to hook up the pointer that is located in the middle of the keyboard. There was no connector. DeLL had sent the wrong piece. He asked to borrow my phone. He called their 800 number and was on hold forever. Anyways.. he told them what happened, and they put him on hold again forever. After awhile they came back and said, 'yeh, we sent you the wrong piece.' So.. he hooked everything back up, turned it on.. BEEP.. The BIOS was pissed because it lost the time. Either something was wrong with my keyboard or he just didnt know how to set the time. Im going to reboot in a sec to see if I can set the time in it. Also, the screen had shrunk. The entire screen was in a small window in the middle of the screen. He asked the guy on the other end of the phone if he knew how to fix that, and at the exact time that he asked it, the screen jumped back to normal.. all by itself. Anyways.. he'll be back in a few days. Until then. Buy a DeLL. Current Mood: amused |

Broken Button
Last night i noticed that the left mouse button for the pointing stick thingy on my laptop (what the hell is that thing called?), was loose. I didn't pay a lot of attention to it.. it didnt matter.. it still worked. A little while ago, the button popped out. =( Brand new laptop, many thousands of dollars, and I have to use the left mouse button for the touch pad. Not acceptable. I emailed DeLL.. since its Sunday.. I assumed I might as well go ahead and email them, wait for them to come in on Monday, and expect a reply by Tuesday or Wednesday. I was sure they were going to tell me that I would have to pay to ship it to them, have them fix it, and send it back. What really happened: 3:24pm is when my email client sent the email to them. I got a reply at 3:42.. less than 20 mins after I emailed them. WoW. In the email, he told me it was totally free.. cause of the warranty.. Then he asked me where I wanted the service done at... is he coming to my house to replace my mouse button? Current Mood: excited |

Just another day
Yesterday was pretty boring.. slacked around all day.. when I still don't have my books for college. Watching Jerry Springer right now.. sickening. It used to be funny.. but.. its getting old. Been taking a look at other journals.. Steph has got a wish list on her's.. one of thie things in her list is this robot dog type thing. I dont know what it does.. but.. its cool looking. Someone buy me one.. =) Lauren's site is talking about butt sex.. =) ... Always a nice subject. liSS is sick.. =/ Everyone email her.. tell her to get better.. liss@betelgeuse.org ... Daydream doesn't seem to be doing well lately.. =/ I just checked her latest entry. Hope things get better soon. Surrealangel seems to be doing ok. Lies!! All Lies!!
Ok.. so.. my cam isnt up all the time ... ; ) I cant get used to that.. I need some private time. It's on a lot more than it used to be though. I just checked out liSS's journal.. poor submarine ppl.. =( It felt so strange when i clicked over to CNN.com and saw it say 'No Survivors' .. =( I thought that they would atleast find some people.. very sad. Freedom
I've had it. I was sooo tired of the bull shit i was putting up with. Today, I just called in and quit. =) I tried to make myself like the job. It's the best paying job I've ever had (its only the 2nd job i've ever had too.. haha), it had good benefits (insurance, etc.. but of course you have to be there for a certain amount of time), etc. However.. it was waaaay too much bull shit. Here's one example of what I've had to put up with: Fake Call: "Good Evening, this is Dale.. What city please?"
"Tampa"
"and what listing?"
"Ice Palace"
"Here's that number, thanks for calling"
See what I did that was so horribly wrong in that? I said "Thanks for calling". My boss came over last night to tell me that she had been monitoring my calls, and that I was to not say that. Instead I had to say "Thank you for calling" and not "Thanks".
